Yvette Raposo

 

Yvette's ambition to compete as a Bodybuilder and Boxer came from her deep, persistent passion to push herself physically, mentally and emotionally. Her success on stage and in the ring prepared her for the 'larger fight on the stage of life'!

 

Today, with 10 years of experience as a Personal Trainer and Boxing Instructor, Yvette is proud to manage her own practice in the Greater Toronto Area. Sam Murphy

Claire Curtis

 

Claire was a competitive sprinter in her teenage years. She graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1996, where she achieved a Bachelor honours degree in Human Movement Studies and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (Physical Education). In addition to her formal educational training in England, she also acquired several vocational qualifications as a medical exercise specialist.

  

Claire moved to Canada in 2001, acquiring a Masters degree in Kinesiology from York University. During this time she became interested in disordered eating. She is currently completing her Doctoral degree in Kinesiology and Health Science, specializing is compulsive overeating and addictions.

 

Her research involves work with patients before and after bariatric (weight loss) surgery and with individuals with binge eating disorder. She has a special interest in investigating behavioural modification as a tool to assist weight loss and lifestyle change. Claire has been co-author on over 10 academic articles published in journals such as Appetite, International Journal of Eating Disorders, and Eating Behaviours.
